Toyota is hiring 800 people for second shift in Woodstock
By Warren McNeil
This second shift will start next March and they will be hiring 800 workers. They are doubling the production of the plants vehicles. With this addtion of new workers, Toyota will have
around 6500 workers in Woodstock and Cambridge. Between the Woodstock and Cambridge plant, they have the capacity to build 420,000 vehicles a year.
I have a couple of friends that work at Toyota and I am happy to hear that the company is still going strong and they are not having the same problems as the other car companies have had over the past year. Woodstock is only about 20-30 minutes from Kitchener.
I love my Toyota and would buy another one in the future. I just wish they would come out with a nice sports car. I like the Supra but they’re not producing them at the present time. They need to build something along the lines of a Nissan 370Z. Anyways, I digress.
